GuessCut

Terms

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use GuessCut, the daily film-guessing game at guesscut.app. By playing, you agree to them. We have kept them short.

The game

GuessCut is free. Each day there is one film to guess from a short clip, plus optional extra games. We may change, pause or remove features, skip or replace a day’s film, and correct scores or statistics affected by an error.

Playing fair

Play GuessCut for your own enjoyment. Please do not:

  • use bots, scripts or scraping to play, collect answers or copy the catalogue
  • try to get around the site’s limits or the rules of the daily film
  • interfere with the site, its servers or other players

Accounts and nicknames

Accounts are optional. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens on your account. Your nickname is public on the leaderboard, so it must not be offensive or misleading, or impersonate someone else. We may reset a nickname, remove someone from the leaderboard or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time.

Films and trailers

Film titles, trailers, artwork and related material belong to their respective owners, and GuessCut does not claim them. Film details come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Clips play through YouTube’s embedded player, so YouTube’s Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) also apply when you watch them.

Requests from rights holders

If you hold rights to a film or trailer on GuessCut and want it removed, use the report link on any round or write to contact@guesscut.app. We remove it from the game promptly.

Our content

The GuessCut name, logo, design and code belong to GuessCut. Sharing your results with the share button is always welcome.

No guarantees

GuessCut is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that every title, clip or answer is correct.

Liability

As far as the law allows, GuessCut is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, or excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described on the privacy page.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it. Questions are welcome at contact@guesscut.app.
